Back Home from Surgery

Thank so much to everyone who sent me well wishes on Thursday.  I would like to let each of you know how much I truly appreciate your words of encouragement and advice.  I came home on Friday night, a little sore but definetly feeling good.  I have read many posts from others questioning should they have the surgery, I can only speak from my experience so far and I would do it again. Keep in mind  I am very new, however I can say it hasn't been very bad.  Listening to my Surgeon who is excellent, all of the vets on the site, and my support group members they really have prepared me for what I could expect.  I didn't have any surprises.  The only surprise is how good I actually feel!

Congrats! I too felt really good post op. Had mine on a Mon and was back in school Fri. I had to sleep alot at night but still feel really good. Again congrats on your success so far and remember, sip, walk, sip, walk

Thanks Windim!!! Walking, walking, walking has really helped.  I am trying not to sit for too long.  In the hospital I walked the halls several every couple of hours.  Keep me posted on your success as well!!!!

Congrats girlfriend, you sound wonderful and very positive! I am glad to hear you are doing so well, walk and sip! I can not wait to see some post op pics! Save me seat on the loosers bench I hope to be joining you very soon!

Congratulations! It's so nice to hear from those of you that have had positive experiences. It makes it so much easier for those of us that are just getting ready for the procedure (mine is 11/21). Best of luck to you. It sounds like you are going to do an amazing job. Keep us posted!
