frequent leg cramps
Hi, I seem to be getting frequent leg cramps normally during this time of the year! I have tried stretching exercises and I take my calcium religeously, cramp upof my knees and thighs are the ones that the most. I sometimes have to get up from bed to walk it off or stretch. I drink more than the 64 oz of water. Do you think I should buy over the counter potassium. If so what kind should I get?
Thanks in advance for the info!

I had this during my first year out, and about 1/2 banana each day settled a lot of it. Then I really increased my water - getting in more like 120 oz of water - and I haven't had a cramp since.
Good luck with this - those cramps HURT!

Please do not take potassium without your physician's advice. Potassium regulates the heart...too much or too little of it can be fatal. It's OK to eat potassium rich foods, but leave the supplements to your physician, who will follow your blood levels.
