Did your surgeon fix your stricture or did he refer you?  I am pretty sure I have one and want this feeling to end Did you have to wait a day or week or what to get it fixed?  Not sure I can handle too much more of this pain.

Thanks, Teresa

I was referred to a specialist and it was fixed the following day. I had to get IV fluids since I had to wait 24 hours to get in with the specialist.

Thanks for the replies.  I have an appointment with doc in morning, and I totally want this thing fixed.  I havent thrown up everything...i seem to be able to keep liguids down although I am nauseas  but food sits in the top of my throat before it eventually comes up.  I have pressure in my chest and it is constant, it is not painful per se....it is really annoying because it wont go away. I am 5 weeks out today and it hasnt been this way till about 5 days ago.  Just tired of it, so hope its fixed soon.  Going to go into that appointment demanding something be done because I know my body and it doesnt seem like this is right.

I was diagnosed on a holiday, so I had to be hospitalized over Christmas and they fixed it on Tuesday.  I was referred to a GI specialist b/c I only had a pinhole open.  I've had it done twice.

I had a stricture diagnosed at 3 weeks post op and had it dilated a total of 5 times. The sirgeon did the first three but was not aggresive enough. I went to a GI specialist for the 4th and 5th. At the 4th dilation he also injected a drug called Kenalog into all four quadrants of the scar tissue so on the 5th dilation it was easily opened to the correct mm. Never had another problem after that. Wishing you luck
