Regular Coffee

I have been drinking decaf coffee for a couple of weeks now. Saturday I ordered decaf and when the waitress came to refill our cups she apologized as she had given me regular coffee. I waited for it to bother me and it did not. Yesterday I tried one cup of regular for breakfast and it did not bother me. Does it hurt to have one regular cup of coffee once in a while?

My surgeon and nut say not until 6 months post-op. Did yours specify?

It does not specify when I can drink regualr.

 My Dr allows it after 6 wks and my NUT actually encouraged it thinking it may help keep me regular. They suggest no more than 2 cups a day. 

I could drink it at 4 or 6 weeks I believe.  I choose not too and stick with decaf for several reasons.  It's a personal preference.

I had my Rny 1 day after you, and I will have 1 cup a day every so often(not daily but maybe 3 times a week) It does not bother me! Good luck!

I was cleared for regular at 4 weeks post op...but told I would know if it bothered my pouch. No problems so far!! I drink a cup in the morning and sometimes tea in the evenings on weekends.

coffee after 3 months no issues but drink more water after dehydrates you. I will have a cup at night sometimes when i get hungry and dont want more calories for the night

Neither my doc nor my nut have a problem with it - I only have one cup a day in the morning.  My nut also said that it helps keep you regular....
