Dry D3 versus Gel Cap D3?
My doctor said to take 2000iu per day of D3. (He is my general family doctor). He did not say dry or otherwise, but I remember reading on here folks saying we need DRY D3.
Please advise how much D3 I should take and what do you use? I take Centrum Silver which has some D3 in it.
I have some Gel CAp clear D3, 5000iu. Would those work since it's a higher dosage than what my doctor called for? Is it that we do not absorb any or part of the "wet" D3?
Thanks for your time.

2000 iu is a low dose for someone with RNY and so you may not see a great improvement at this level, it really depends on how you as an individual absorbs the vitamin.

Almost all post ops I've talked to need at least 5000 IU a day just to maintain a level of 80; most need l0,000 IU or more a day. I doubt 2000 IU a day will even keep your level where it is, let alone raise it.
But yes, you will absorb some of the D3 in oil, just not all of it, because you malabsorb fats due to your RNY.

Are these any good? The sublingual on Vitalady? Ever tasted them? There is not much info about it as in flavor? http://www.vitalady.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=1121X100

Thanks for the advise. Vitamin Shoppe only has Dry D3 in 400iu and that would mean taking a whole bunch of them.
Thanks as always!
