Great 6 Month Post-Op Dr. Appointment

Just returned from my six-month post-op visit with my surgeon and nut.  He estimated that I would be at 173 at one year, and I am 162 at six months.  Very happy about that.

We discussed goal weight, which he originally set at 140.  He now feels that would be too low for my height and body type.  So we reset the goal for 150 - only 12 lbs. away.

All my labs were dead on, so all is well.

I was a little annoyed with the nut - she said I am doing well exceeding the protein goals after looking at my food journal, plus the weight is coming off ahead of schedule.  Then she wanted to turn around and change everything I eat.  Hello - if it is working, I am not going to mess with success.

Just had to share my excitement!

Congrats! I'm super jealous you lost so much so quickly!! I'm sure you have worked super hard. If what you're eating is working for YOU then don't let your NUT generalize you into a formula of treatment. Keep on what you're doing because it's obviously working!!
