In the beginning, while I was losing rapidly, my periods were really irregular.  I did not have one for three months after surgery, then for the next nine months or so, they just seemed to happen very randomly.

Now they are back to normal, which for me has always been pretty regular.

Sadly, no.  I was really hoping they would get lighter as *I* got lighter, but no such luck.

I had a uterine ablation 3.5 years ago & had very light, infrequent periods until my RNY in January.  Since then, I've had a period every month & spotting in between.  It's also much heavier than before.  My primary advised that it is due to hormonal fluctuations & that it should subside when my weight loss stabilizes.

Gotta love the hormones.

I had the same thing and my periods have gotten a little heavier and I think its the hormones. I think ablation helped me though

Regular for three months and no period in the past 3 months.  It could be related to wls or  menopause.  I am 50.
