You might be able to use honey or maple syrup in some recipes, but I'm not sure how it will react in your pouch. I've tried a few different Stevia products, but I'm on the fence with them. Unfortunately, the other options would be fructose or dextrose, and those can be overly sweet.
I love baking, but I'm finding that I'm not baking like before. It's too much of a temptation, even if I do substitute. Maybe in time it will be fun again. ;)

Coconut sugar .........metabolise diferent than sugar lower in calories trhan honey, agave, and other sub and is all natural. use just like sugar. There are some stevia cook books on amazon, if you want to try stevia for baking.
I use stevia and truvia. Love them. I have been using that for a long time - so I do not really "taste" it. Some people complain about after taste.
I can't use splenda (maybe a little bit) or other sweeteners.
I even order protein powder - all natural - About Time Whey, or MRM - natural line.

I bake with xylitol or erythritol because they are low on the glycemic scale and don't give my insides as much trouble as other S.A's. I also use honey sometimes, but very sparingly.
I don't like to use Splenda as it's too close to sugar, you're saving a bit of calories, but not enough IMOO to matter since they use Maltodextrin which is a highly processed starch.
