Really, is drinking a whole glass of water. I wish I could down a 12 oz glass of water like I use to. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret surgery. I just wish I could guzzle my water like I use to. Thanks everyone for letting me vent my frustrations! :)  Now back to sipping...

Oh I hear you on that one. It seems like I'm constantly thirsty and can't get enough water/liquids into me. Not only with the sip sip sip but if it's not cold now I don't like the taste. The temp never bothered me before surgery.

It's funny earlier today was the person who was going to miss straws.  We all have things we miss.  I know some people miss their soda etc. I don't even miss my Diet Mt. Dew.

I was worried about never having coffee after surgery. Then I come on the forum and find people that do drink coffee and I'm like Yeah!!!!  Life will be good.  Then ironically after surgery I can not stand the taste of Coffee or even the smell of it!!!  I just laugh to myself over that one. I teased the Dr. today that he removed the "Coffee Loving section" from me during the Surgery to make me quit drinking it!!!

Amen, sister. I still can't guzzle plain water at 4.5 years out UNLESS I have just done a really hard workout.

I  have not had a problem with drinking my water.  I don't sip, I drink and I use Mio also.  I guess some of us are just luckier than others.  But I never guzzled any of my liquids before surgery, so to me it's nothing different except I drink alot more fluids than before.

I'm a guzzler.  I couldn't chugg it at all in the beginning and I'm still no where near where I used to be (I could down a 16oz bottle of water in one swoop pre-opt)..but I can get a 16oz bottle down in a few minutes...like 2-3 if I'm working out...close to 4-5 if I'm drinking normally.

I'm a guzzler too. That never changed. Tepid water doesn't sit well in my pouch, but when it's cold, I can still throw back with the best of them and suck down a 16oz bottle in no time. I'm a loyal MetroMint fan. It's a little pricey, but the mint essence is so crisp and refreshing and it keeps my tummy feeling good.

I'm 3 months further out than you, so it might change for you. Here's hoping!

Hang in there as this may come.  I can both eat and drink normally with no problems.
