Hang in there, you're on the home stretch!

How intense is your pre-op diet?  I was put on a strict Optifast 900, 4 shakes and up to  2 cups of either broccoli, celery, cucumber, or green peppers, lots of water ... and that's it.  That's all I've had for the last 3 weeks - I want something savory so badly - LOL

My surgery is on Friday, so I know it's almost done.

You can do it!  This will pass and it will lead you to the door way of your new life!!!

Why are you doing three and not two week pre-op liquid diet?

Some people do not have to be on a pre-op diet or liquid diet and some do.  For 2 weeks for me was high protein, chicken, turkey, fish, veggies fruits, yogurts, cheese, cottage cheese sf puddings and sf jello, so I was fortunate.  Then the day before surgery was clear liquids.  Hang in there people you have been doing great, this too will be over soon.  Jane

Hang in there!  I am now sixe months post-op, and I still say the pre-op diet was the hardest part so far.  It's all downhill from here, if you are anything like me.
