Need some people to help me put things in perspective

I weighed 350 on 7/6 the day I started the liquid pre-op diet. I am now down to 299, which is fabulous I know. 22lbs was lost in the 10 days prior to surgery and I have lost 29 since surgery which is 7 weeks tomorrow. I just feel like it should be so much faster, especially given I am eating what I am supposed to (never indulging in "bad foods"). I still don't get all my fluid and protein in but each day gets better and better.

I need some help putting this in perspective....I am beginning to doubt my progress.

You're doing fantastic! You really don't see it the first month or so, but all of a sudden you'll get into a smaller shirt or jeans. Someone will notice and comment on your weightless and you will be floating on cloud 9! Just keep working your program it will be worth it!

Girl, you are doing awesome!  You're losing a little over 4lbs a week since surgery....can you think of a time you've done that before AND kept it off?

That is wonderful progress. The scale is going in the right direction. Be patient. It's not a race, its a journey.

I look at all this way.  As long as I am losing and not gaining I'm doing fabulous!!!  And so are you. Don't get caught up in numbers of others thinking you are not losing what you should be. Your journey is YOUR journey and be happy for each of your own accomplishments along the way.

Do your serenity a favor and back away from the scale.
Maybe this week focus only on fluids or protein.
Those weeks I focused on something else  I usually lost weight.
I started at 378. It took 18 months. It a process.
