Praying you feel better soon and the changing of meds helps.   Try to sip as much fluid as you can.    I had to stay a extra day when I had my RNY due to nausia ( dry heaving ).   Hang in there....praying for you today.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

I couldn't tolerate plain water at first, so I relied on a lot of Crystal Light and herbal tea. I only started tolerating plain water within the last week and a half.

You can do clear broths, Crystal Light, Propel Zero(?), decaf teas and coffee, skim milk, SF jello and Popsicles, too, to get your fluids in. Good luck!

I had to stay in the hospital 5 days including the day of my surgery.  I ended up being allergic to milk.  I had the same problems as you.  Did they try lactaid in your protein shake?

I had the same exact problem post op and they also kept me.  Once they switched my nausea meds to something other than zofran I started being able to drink.  I only had to stay one extra day and all was fine!  I hope that you get that nausea under control with the new meds.  Good luck to you!

Same exact thing happened to me after I was released from the hospitol. The nausea was so bad that I did not eat at all which resulted in other issues. But once they swiched me from zofran to reglan the nausea went away within a few days and I started eating again. Good luck to you....It will get better, I PROMISE!
