k question for you all
k here is the deal.. i am wanting to donate plasma next week.. i was wanting to do it today but i wasnt sure wether it was ok to or not since i had my surgery, and i want to make sure on here before i go give plasma.. better be safe then sorry. can u guys let me know if it is a ok thing to do or not..

I am over 4 years post op. Not 4 months. I would not do it. It is hard enough to make sure my tests come out good - in a med range..... just OK is not good enough.

My surgeon is one *****commends that we NOT donate blood, but she never specifically mentioned plasma. I would definitely not do it less than about 9 months out, though, since your body may have more difficulty replenishing itself because of your nutritional status.
