How long before JP drain hole closes?

I had my JP drain removed on Tuesday and have had to keep a bandage over it because it's oozing still.  How long does it continue to drain?  The hole isn't huge, but he didn't use anything to close it, just taped some gauze over it.

My other incisions are doing good (had surgery 10/15).  With one the glue came off and it's gaping a bit, but not red or draining.  Just have never had a drain before, so not sure what to expect.

Thanks all!

Took me a few weeks to close, no worries it will get better :).

I left bandage on until it started to close. About 3 days for me.

It's really variable, keep it clean and dry when you are not in the shower. Get all your protein and vitamins. Anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks.
