Congrats on surgery!  But you have to be patient!  Your body has to heal first before you can begin the weight loss.  follow your doctor's recomendations and rules and you wil do fine :)

It might be a good idea to only weight yourself once a week. If you do it daily you´ll see your weight go up and down or not change at all. You were filled with fluids and you might gain a lbs around your period then lose it again a few days later.

My surgery was on the 17th.  I came home weighing 13 pounds more than the day I entered the hospital  .  Someone probably told me that would happen but I wasn't listening,  I was very swollen and my clothes were tight.  Now the scale is starting to go down into numbers I haven't seen in a while.  I know I should put it away but every little bit is encouragement right now.  Can't wait until the clothes start feeling loose.

At my pre op I was told they give us steroids to help with the healing.   Those always cause a weight gain.   Even if you didn't get the steroids the fluids you get in the bag are high in calories.    I would wait, I know it's hard, a week to get on the scale again.    Best of luck and quick recovery.
