Anyone else unable to vomit?
Oh the irony!
I've gone from being unable to stop vomiting with the band and even after the band was removed I still had some vomiting issues to completely unable to vomit with the exception of one incident in hospital that was violent and lasted 5-10 minutes but only produced white foam, I wretch and heave but nothing, am I alone in this, I e seen several people either say they've vomited or telling someone to stick their fingers down their throats ( this just produces coughing and gagging for me now)
the hospital incident was more than likely induced by the dr that put my second drain in on Boxing Day and gave me seven separate locals because he was taking so long so I really don't count that anyways.
just curious to see where everyone else is at with this.

Unable to vomit? I haven`t vomited since I had RNY December 2011. Mind you I do not expect to vomit nor do I encourage it.
I had the foamies (excessive saliva that is foamy in texture) once because I ate something too quickly. That experience lasted about 5 minutes and then the piece of meat moved down in my pouch and I was fine. I did not want to vomit then.

Good I'm not the odd one out!
jj I wouldn't recommend people vomit either and have been quite surprised to read it in several posts lately, as for expecting it ,I've had long term issues with vomiting and even though I worked with an ED psych in the lead up to and after my rny that inner expectation doesn't go away over night.
