Tuesday is the big day

Tuesday is the day for me to start my new life.  I am absolutely scared to death, but I'm sure that is normal.  Wondering what I should pack for the hospital.  Any advice? 

I would pack light.  You can wear the clothes home that you wear in.  I took stuff to read (which I never touched).  They'll give you toothbrush, paste, lotion etc but I took my own.  Be sure to take some slippers with non-slip soles.  Underwear, socks, a robe if you want (I found a hospital gown backwards worked better with the IV).  Phone charger if you're bringing your cell.

Good luck Tuesday, it'll be over before you know it!!

Also make sure to put a pillow from home in the car for our ride home. You won't really want the seatbelt rubbing on your bruised stomach!

The second night I was there, I had my husband bring up my favorite blanket from home. I was MUCH more comfortable and slept so much better.
