Magic Bullet and Alternatives
What kind of individual blender for protein smoothies do y'all recommend? Magic bullet? Hamilton Beach? I'm hoping to spend only around $30.
Come visit me on my blog, Through a Cooking Glass! I talk about my journey through WLS and learning to live, cook, and eat on the other side.
We bought a Ninja. We used itsome at first, but found that it was really easy to turn your protein dring into a frothy mess. We went back to the "shaker" cups. Eventually we settled in with drinking Premier Protein drinks which we buy by the case at Sams Club for about $15 for 12. They are tasty and ready to go. :)
I spent the money and bought a Magic Bullet. I have really loved it for protein shakes/smoothies and cooking in general. It is small enough that I have taken it to work when I didn't have time to make a shake in the morning or when I wanted a shake for lunch. I think I paid $60 at Target at the after Christmas sales last year. I use it almost every other day, love it!
My vote is for the Ninja. I have had one for a couple of years, before my rny. I use it for everything and i think it makes excellent shakes, icees, chicken salad, etc. It is multipurpose in my opinion and the best kitchen item I've ever bought. I would do it all over again in heartbeat. I love it so much that I bought one for my mother and sister.
Did you know that mason jars fit on the full sized blenders?
