I am three days out band to bypass. Drinking, walking, taking pain meds - but I have this pain in the lower right side of my back. Anyone else experience this?

It's the most pronounced discomfort I have.

I will call my doc if it gets really bad of course.

might be gas. Try drinking warm liquids, walking, gas x.

i was told the back pain could be from the positions you are put in during surgery

Hey Sherrie! Bet you a buck its gas, the gas pains suck! Had wife go pick me up some gas-x, and I can actually feel all the gas moving. My day 3 has been way better than day 2. We will figure this junk out! Gas-x equals pooptin and relief!

Okay I guess you answered my question does the gasx make you pass the gass and poo. I am 5 days post opt called doctor they told me to us milk of magnesia but thats not really doing anything

I am 4 days out - no poop yet. But I had a clear liquid diet followed by a bowel cleanse. I bet there isn't much in there yet. Lol

Glad to see you are home...sorry you are fighting with the gas pain...hope it gets better soon. This coming week is the end of my 30 day wait with BCBS...hopefully I will hear something soon!!
