Hi!

I have been lurking on the board for awhile and thought it would be time to introduce myself. My name is Katy. I am planning on having gastric bypass within the next month or so. Everything has been approved, just waiting for a pre op and surgery date. Obviously I am looking forward to a healthier future, loss of weight, and most important I am trying to correct fertility issues linked to PCOS.  I am nervous about the surgery, but looking forward to the positive outcome of the journey. :)

Welcome and good luck on your journey! I also have PCOS but was able to have children pre-op with fertility meds. But I have a good friend with PCOS who got pregnant after WLS as soon as she was cleared to do so by her surgeon. She had tried for years pre-op. I hope you are sharing a similar story with us next year!

Thanks so much! I finally got my pre op date on next Tuesday the 19th! Hoping for a surgery date soon!
