Dry mouth
I had really dry mouth for about two weeks after surgery and then it stopped. Man was I glad. I thought if I had to live with that forever I'd go crazy! I didn't use mouthwash for awhile and I avoided coffee, tea for awhile too. I also had sugar free candy and cough drops with me all the time. It seemed to help.

Have you changed any medications lately? Many will cause dry mouth and dry the nasal tissues. There is a line of dental products made specifically for dry mouth (xerostomia) called Biotene that really does help most people who try it. It has specialized lubricants that replace the missing saliva and relieve the dry feeling for a longer period of time. It is a tad more expensive than regular toothpastes and mouthwashes but, for most, worth it.
Hope this helps.
