How do you calculate Dinty Moore Stew with no potatoes??
I ate this for lunch, but I didn't have any of the potatoes. So, how do I calculate what I ate?
Ugh, I know I should just make my own stew in the crock pot, and I'm going to. But, sometimes something sounds fabulous to me, and then I make it, eat it, and freeze the leftovers, and I never want that item again. Does this happen to anyone else? I made lovely italian sausage and peppers, and it was OK, but I really don't want to eat that again (at least, not for a while). At least by trying the stew, I know I want the stew again. It was yum! But I don't know how to calculate it. Ack!

I do that all the time - it is driving my husband crazy because I have like 4-5 different things in the freezer and keep making more because I don't want the others right now lol
To calculate, I would put a serving in a bowl with the potato and figure out how much of that is potato in comparison to an actual potato size and subtract the nutrition info for a potato from the soup.

That's a good idea. Thank you!

I'd just go with whatever it says on the label. I doubt leaving out the potatoes would change things much, except the carbs would be lower. But I'm not real particular when I calculate stuff. I tend to just round off the numbers anyway.

I go through this ALL THE TIME. I will do a grocery list and plan meals then when it comes to eating them, the thought gags me. If I eat something and think ok, I will have it the next day for leftovers. Nope. Jane
