Advice on a mixer??

Im trying to figure out what to use to puree my foods in that will also work for shakes(surgery is Monday!). I have a big old blender, but i wanted something easier and a bit updated. Ideas please..and not too pricey. Thanks!

I love my ninja. It is the model with individual cups with lids as well as a pitcher. I purchased it at Bed, Bath & Beyond for approx. $70-80.

I love my magic bullet. walmart has something similar thats around 28 dollars but not sure if its as good. I think I gave 49 for my magic bullet.

I bought a Ninja from Walmart. I believe it was around $39. It came with a large container to blend shakes, and a smaller one that I use to purée my food. I use it everyday several times as I am doing shakes and on purée foods for a month!
