Blood draw and NSV

I had my blood drawn today for labs.  19 vials!!!  But, my veins have been hard to draw from for a while.  Well, apparently that was because I had so much extra weight.  I was able to get them to poke me in the normal place in the crook of my elbow (usually they have to do my upper arm, or the side of my elbow, or my wrist, or the back of the palm, etc.), and the 19 vials filled up in about 2 minutes.  That was fastest blood draw ever.  Who knew I would be excited about a blood draw!

They always used to have a hard time getting my blood, too.  Now that I'm a normal weight, it's easy.

Who knew our blood was so popular these days!!!  I just had my three month and they took 6 vials- something we will get used to!  Good luck with your results.

If they only took six vials, they didn't do a full set of labs.  They should be taking about 15 to 16 vials total.

OMG... That's something to look forward to. At least I have good veins.

Yep, I used to be a hard stick but now I don't need 3 people to probe for veins - - they're visible to the naked eye!!!

Ditto here.  (No more sitting in the lab with a heating pad around my arm and the lab techs drawing straws who gets me)

Did you drink lot of fluids before going to the lab, thats always help me to get done fast. I used to donate blood so I tell them to go to the left and usually they get it. Now if its an IV thats a very different story. Hope all of your labs come back good.
