Is it better to use a measuring cup or a scale to measure food?

I use a measuring cup because my pouch is a certain size.  It holds a certain volume of food.  It doesn't know or care how much food weighs.

I was told to use a measuring cup at first but now they say I can use a scale. I use both.

It is about volume.  I don't even own a scale.

for me it depends what it is. at 2.5 years out i pretty much know how much i can eat and my measuring is more for tracking purposes so it depends on how i would put it into the tracker. like shredded cheese is 1/4 cup, but chicken is 4 oz. by weight

A scale is more accurate if you are counting calories.

I use a measuring cup.  How much you can actually eat will depend on the density of the food.  If you eat fruit?  You can eat more because it is more liquid.  If you eat pulled pork?  That is denser, you can eat less.

Good luck!
