When did everyone start eating nuts? I forgot to ask at my last appt, although I know its usually a while before you can. I just crave nuts all the time! Usually cashews and pistachios.

I think i started to eat almonds around 3 months. I love the dark chocolate roasted ones. I was just told to get unsalted or light salt since most of them are very heavy in salt, and to chew really really well.

I was over six months out, I think. It just didn't occur to me to try them.

I'm almost six weeks out and I eat peanuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds and pecans. As long as I chew them really well I have absolutely no problems with them. I haven't had any problems with anything though. I eat all different kinds of meat and fish, eggs,  vegetables, cheeses, yogurt,  fruits and whole grains. Oddly enough the only thing that gives me gas bloating and tummy rumblings is MILK.

My doctor wanted us to wait until 3 months since they are tough on the digestive system.    Now I include them in my daily diet.  I buy unsalted, blanched nuts and add dark chocolate chips or a very small amount of dried fruit to add some sweetness.

Three months out because some nuts are hard to digest.
