Popcorn. I have a question!
I was probably somewhere between 6 and 9 months out (It has been way too long to remember exactly, but I didn't eat ANY non-protein snacks until after 6 months). Popcorn actually chews down into almost nothing (so you have to be very vigilant about portion control) and most people that I know have no problems with it at all. Make sure it isn't loaded with butter or artificial bitter flavored grease, though, because that really jacks the calories and fat up!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Popcorn has always been a snack for me. I got permission for it about 6months out. I usually make my own. 1/2 cup of unpopped popcorn,1 spritz of Pam olive oil, put it in a paper lunch bag folded down and in the microwave for 2 min 30 sec. about 100 calories and volume. I can ususally eat 1/2 the bag. My nut has given a thumbs up. Lots of fiber.
Wow! I would have never thought you could do your own version of "microwave" popcorn like that!! How do you keep the popcorn from popping out of the bag and making a mess? Do you seal it somehow at the top?

I think I stayed away from popcorn until I was past six months out. I am now four years out, and can eat about half a bag of the microwave kind with no problem. Any more than that, and I begin to feel sick, so enjoy, but proceed with caution!
