Question almost 1 year out

I don't see my NUT and Dr. for another month or so.  At 11 - 12 months out, approximately how many fats, carbs and calories were you taking in?  My weight loss has slowed down tremendously, which I knew would happen.  I know I need to up my activity and am willing & able to do.

I'm not complaining, though.  Yesterday, when I weighed in on my Wii Fit, I heard "You're overweight" for the first time ever!!!  It's always said "You're obese!".  I almost fell over.  The silly things along this journey that matter so much make me smile constantly.  kiss

No answers here, but a heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!  on reaching "just overweight"-land. :)  I can only begin to imagine how good that feels!

Thank you!  It's amazing and you will be here before you know it.  It's crazy how time flies during this process.

I'm one year out as of Thursday.  I don't count fats and carbs because I really limit my intake on those, but I try to get less than 1,200 calories / day.  If I go a little bit over than that, which isn't often, I don't give myself any grief.  I know that I'm still choosing the right kinds of foods.  And, if it's a day that I'm not exercising I'll try to go a bit lower than 1,200.  I'm still losing and like to lose about 20-30 more pounds.

What I don't want to do is get into a diet mentality where I'm constantly counting calories and obsessing over it.  I plan my meals ahead of time 80-90% of the time, and the other 10-20% I still make sure I'm eating protein, veggies, and fruit, with some whole grains mixed in as desired.

It's so nice to be overweight.  :)  However, I can't wait to hit that "normal" BMI number!  Soon!

I'm not going to be much help because I hate being obsessed with counting calories and carbs.  I concentrate on proteins and preparing them wisely with a few veggies.  I try to get a good high protein breakfast in for my first meal and keep busy for the rest of the day. If I, for instance, can get to my studio where I paint or have my lampwork studio, I can lose myself for hours and don't think about food.  I have a few grapes or orange slices for a snack.  They are my substitute for candy, and I keep SF Jello and popsicles in the freezer for dessert or snacks.  I also like to make a veggie dip for variety.  Mostly I work towards a good meal plan and try not to eat out very often.

I am one year out also , I don't count anything , except to make sure I am getting enough protein. If it is something new I am buying I do glance at the sugars and fats I try to stay close to 5-8 grms each.

I spent 40 years counting EVERYTHING and I just am not willing to do it anymore . I am happy with my weight , feel great in my clothes  . My weight loss is continuing , I ONLY weigh when I can see a difference in the mirror , was another pound down today. I am thin enough now that one pound makes a difference in what I see in the mirror...weird

Such a HAPPY DAY to hear "you are over weight" that is awesome

You should have about six months of honeymoon left. Get really serious about the scale. If you are not losing about a pound a week, then cut calories until you are.

Don't waste this time when losing will be easier than it ever will be again. Get to your goal and then ten or twenty extra if you can. You will be so glad that you did.
