suggestions for yucky belly!

Hello everyone,

I'll be 4 weeks out tomorrow and for some reason the past two days my stomach has just been upset.  My go to food before surgery would be some crackers to settle my stomach which I know I'm not supposed to have.  Does anyone have any suggestions for something to take for my upset stomach?

Something warm to drink helps me.

my go to has always been saltine crackers as well. I was unable to find anything else that settled my stomach the same post op. When I'm sick to my stomach or taking strong pain meds I still use crackers, I just alot for it on my plan for the day. I know many will say early out to avoid it but I had them occaisionally starting at 6 weeks and I had them in moderation. Kind of letting them melt in my mouth before swallowing.

I hope you can find something else to help but I was unable to.

Are you on anything for nausea? A med may help that more than a cracker would.

Prilosec OTC!  Also GasX for gassy feeling

1 a day for each.

I was on nexium 40 mg once a day and now we have switched to 20mg twice a day since my evening meals were difficult to get in

Did the hospital not release you with medication for upset stomach? Also luke warm broth tend to ease my tummy pains.

Hot tea is the only thing I've found that consistently settles my grumpy pouch.
