Day 5 no b/m....

I had my surgery last Wednesday and still have not had a bowl movement. I called today they weren't as worried as I am. Have any of you had the same experience???

Yep, same thing. I started taking Miralax every other day with good results. At my two-week check up my doctor said that was a good solution and they were happy I took action right away.

Are you still on liquids?  You won't have a real BM until you start eating solid food.

 

You didn't say whether or not you "feel the need". If not, it's probably just the result of no solid foods. However, constipation has been the only real problem I've had with this surgery. I know I'm lucky even if it doesn't feel that way after a week of no BMs lol. Hang in there!

Miralax is the best thing to use,  I used it and saw results almost immediate.  I put it in my morning deccaf and it works like a charm.  Hope things start moving soon.  Good luck to you.

 

 

i am 12 days post op and did not have a bm until day 6. after that i've been going every day. my doctor said as long as you go by day 7 you're good. if you havent give your doctor a call and see what he advises you to take.

I'm less than 2 weeks post op.  First bm was on day 6.  No worries.  

Mine wasn't until day 7.
