One year out, below goal and still losing.
One year ago today, they took me into a room and cut my guts out. Well part of them anyway and I could not be happier about it. I was one of the lucky ones I guess because I had no pain, and was never sick. Everything went as planned and I am now at goal. Well actually I am about 5 pounds under goal now. I lost 145 pounds in that year. I had one week, the 3rd week where I did not lose anything, but did not gain. All the rest of the weeks I lost at least a pound.
I went from a size 54 pants to a size 32. I am almost the same size as I was in high school and in fact I am under the weight I was when I got married. My wife and I will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this summer and we are going to England to celebrate that event.
The only problem I have now, is that I don’t seem to be able to stop losing. My NUT upped my calorie count but still I lost 5.2 pounds in the last 2 weeks with even more to eat. I have an appointment with my surgery team this month to see how I am doing and what I need to do to stop losing. Can you believe in your life any of us would be told to eat more???? Not me that is for sure.
I thank all of you for your support and help during this year and will stay around to help anyone I can. Also my oldest daughter had the same surgery this month and is doing fine. She just joined the group so be kind to her as you were to me. Of all the things I wanted to give to my daughter a weight problem was not one of them. Thanks you all and I am a happy, happy, happy man.

In over 9 years on this board, we are yet to have anyone completely disappear so rest assured, the loss will stop! I initially went 20lbs under goal and it was not a good look, but I kept doing what I was doing and ended up exactly where I wanted to be and have stayed there all this time.
What's your daughter's screen name? We'll be sure to look out for her (if we haven't already seen her) and make her feel extra welcome!

Congrats!! I agree with Kim. I only know of a handful of people past the 3 year mark who have a problem being "too thin". It all evens out in the wash. Increase your calories, but don't go crazy.
