Three weeks out and minus 23 lbs
Saw my doc today and got my last staples removed. Happy to be down 23, but a little disappointed that less than two of those came off in the last week. I had an open RNY, and my doc takes a very conservative approach, so I am not cleared to go back to work for another two weeks. I initially hoped to only be out a total of two weeks, but I continue to tire easily and have a one-hour commute each way, so it is hard to object to the additional time. Guess I will have to start reading the Game of Thrones series after all.
ACK! I cannot imagine having open RNY and staples. Sorry you are having to go through that. Why did your surgeon choose open?

Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
