Hiatal Hernia?

So I have an appointment at my bariatric clinic on Thursday to see about repairing my Hiatal Hernia. I'm pre-op and have had this hernia for YEARS now. My question is, my insurance doesn't cover bariatric surgery, but will cover hernia repair, so do you think since I will be under insurance for the OR room and the bariatric dr doing the surgery that there would be a discount if I have them do the actual gastric bypass at that time? I don't know if any of this makes sense. I'm just trying to look for some insight.

Ask your surgeon. I had my hernia repaired at the same time and was told it was part of the RNY procedure.

My insurance stated that WLS was a major surgery and hernia was not therefore WLS was the main surgery and hernia secondary. No discount.
