Have Women's sizes changed?
Thanks so much everyone for posting! Now I know I'm not going crazy!
All the more reason to wait until I need it to buy something! I was discussing shopping with a friend and I told her I wouldn't be buying anything new until I didn't have older things that fit me. She told me I should still shop and buy something to shrink into..... I said right back that I'd rather save the joy of it until I actually would fit into it and the shopping would be part of the victory celebration!
I Think it depends on your body make up. People constantly told me I wad lying about weight or sizr. Im 4.5ft tall. At 140 pounds I wore a 4 on top and six on the bottom. At 170 I wore a 8. But I worked out 7 days a week 2 hrs a dsy. Plus you have to remember there is a huge difference between juniors and womens sizes of the same.
They have definitely changed. I kept my favorite dress from the 80's. I was the same weight, but my waist was 2 inches smaller then. It is a size 9 and is way too small. I usually wear a size 4 in dresses now.

The marketing for this started years ago when they brought out size 0. I am 5'2, and can wear size 0 and just tried on a very tight (but I was feeling fat, so I got out some vanity sizing to make me feel better) 00. I range from 126-132. WIth that said, when we get closer to goal, we have a lot of extra skin hanging about, with no fat underneath. Very squishable. I think this should factor in as well. :-)
Generally, I am a size 4-6 pant, x-small or small top.
