Final preop appt....

I saw my brilliant surgeon today for the final time before my Monday morning surgery!  I can't believe I'm in the home  stretch. This liquid diet has been a challenge as I have hardly lost any weight and was stressing BIG TIME.  He was however pleased with what I've been doing and says full steam ahead!  Not liking the fact I have to have a drain, hence no shower for 8 days or so, however in the big scheme of things, I'm stoked. So.... 5 days to go

4 days now! This is so exciting, in the home stretch with lots of people in your corner. Be in touch, let me know if you need anything or if you want to go for a walk this weekend to keep your mind and body busy.

You cannot shower with your drain in? The people I know that have had them (thankfully my surgeon does not use them) have showered with them in. Double check on that. 8 days without a shower is a bit barbaric.

Best wishes for your speedy recovery!  I could shower with the drain, double check that. I actually showered at the hospital day after surgery.
