Finally joined your ranks.
I had surgery last Monday and I feel great! I stayed home a week but am back at work today. I can't believe the difference in just seven days. I am not getting on the scale until my two week visit with the surgeon so I don't know how many pounds are gone but I can say it doesn't seem drastic. So I don't know what has caused the changes but I'll take it. I feel better than I have in years. My energy levels have gone through the roof. I'm not able to get to sleep before midnight and wake up refreshed and ready to go by 6 am. Lethargy - gone. Brain fog - gone. Foot pain - gone.
I haven't had any complications. No problems drinking/eating (if you can call it eating). No problems with nausea. No problems getting vitamins down or my water and protein shakes. I'm just stunned. I can't wait to see how these next few months play out.
Most don't lose much at 2 weeks, so don't be disappointed. Many gain weight the first week after surgery, what with the trauma and all the fluids. But it will start coming off, don't worry.
Congratulations!
