Dumping after intestinal flu

Has anyone noticed that dumping is worse after a bout with an intestinal virus? I can't decide if I'm over it or if everything's super sensitive in there since having it. I had it this past weekend and thought I was back to normal, but a very light lunch today gave me the sweats and instant diarrhea! At first I thought it was a relapse, then I decide it felt more like dumping. I've eaten very lightly, but maybe I should stick to soup for a couple days!

Unless you had a lot of carbs for lunch - it wasn't dumping!  I'd stick to light foods for a few days it sounds like your bug is not quite cleared up.

Dumping isn't limited to carb/sugar or fat consumption, those things just make it much worse. I had eaten plain chicken breast, and only a couple ounces. It's possible I ate it too fast, especially if it was kind of sensitive down there. :( It passed off in less than 20 minutes so I think it was a dump.

Please educate yourself about your surgery - dumping is the body's reaction to undigested sugar hitting the intestines - NOTHING ELSE IS DUMPING!  Anything  else is intestinal distess.

You cannot dump on chicken - it is protein and therefore physiologically impossible to cause dumping.    I know a lot of people who have RNY want to dump but clearly you are not one of them.   Believe me, if you ever do dump, you'll slap your head and say to yourself, "that Kim woman was right" - once you are able to put two thoughts and 5 words together.

Chicken breast won't cause dumping.

What Kim said.  Dumping is limited to sugar/carbs, and protein does not cause dumping.

It sounds like you are still not over your bug.

TRUST us all on this one!!! I AM A TRUE DUMPER!! you cannot dump on chicken, no way , not going to happen, you have still probs with the flu or you ate to fast, Unless you think you were going to die, and I am so serious, you did not dump, carbs/sugar cause dumping in less than 30 % .
