One year later....
Well it is hard to believe.... I am at my one year anniversary since surgery! WOW. Words can not express all of the change that has occurred both phsyicially and psycholoigically over the past year.
First off. Anyone who is exploring this surgery? DO IT! And commit yourself to the process and decide (it is so hard to made decisions) and commit to deciding if the surgery is right for you!
I first considered this surgery about 8 years ago. I never followed up. I hemmed and hawed. That is my only regret.
My high weight was 372. I have leveled off at 200#. I range 197-202.
However I am still losing inches!! Pre-op pants: 56. Current 36.
My friends, family, co-workers do not even recognize me.
I am healthy, and more active than ever! Running, biking, and working with more energy than I ever recall having.
My personal life although a roller coaster improves daily.
Thank you to the members of OH and the founder of the site as without OH I would have never taken this huge step to improve my health.
THANKS to everyone here !!
Rick.
Congratulations to you on your anniversary!
“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack
