Endoscopy question

So I finally figured out what all of the heart burn and chest pain is being caused by. I have an ulcer where my intestine is connected to my pouch. Dr said my pouch is about 6 cm in size and I'm 9 months out. Is this normal? Just curious!

From what I understand it should be 12cm. Or at least that's what mine was stretched to in the 4 endoscopies I had. Not for ulcer, but just for strictures.

My pouch size was just confirmed two weeks ago at 5 cm.  I'm 5 1/2 years out.

I think everyone is different, and the amount of pouch stretching is different as well.  Some stretching can be caused by less than ideal behavior.  But stretching is also normal to an extent.  We'd starve if we still had the tiny little shot glass size pouches that we had immediately post op.

Really sorry  you have an ulcer.  Had lots of experience with those preop.  They hurt.  Hopefully they can help you get it healed over.
