I just realized I am OBESE!

I weighed in yesterday and didn't even think about checking my BMI. I was checking it out today and realized that my BMI is now 39.1. I am officially obese. I have gone from a BMI of 60+ to 39.1. I LOVE my pouch which I have named Bernice.

This whole experience has been an incredible journey. 118 pounds down and I have 78 more pounds to go until I reach a normal BMI. I know once I do start maintenance things will become more of a challenge but right now I am living the dream. I can walk without feeling like my heart is going to explode, I can do yoga, and I don't have to pay for pedicures anymore. I can actually do my own and it is fun. There are too many NSV's to list and I am sure many more to come.

Thank you to everyone who posts. I have learned so much.

Congrats to YOU--only here do we celebrate in the excitement of being only obese. But I never thought of giving my pouch a name til now--maybe "angel" or "Dr. Smith"--please share how you picked Bernice? I'd like to hear what others would pick or have picked for a pouch name...anyone?

I have a great friend named Byrne so I named her after him. She has been an awesome pouch so far. Only problem has been with chicken breast. Won't be trying that again. I should have listened to everyone on OH. Otherwise, not another issue in the 4 months since my surgery.
