loose skin with weight loss
Absolutely NOTHING!
Put the money you would spend on hinky skin care products into a jar marked "PLASTIC SURGERY" as it's the only way to get rid of loose skin.
Having said that, not all of us end up that bad - I had very little, but vanity forced me to have PS anyway. The amount of loose skin will depend on your age, genetics, how overweight you are, where you carry that weight etc.
Exercise and building muscle will help drape the skin better if there's not too much.

Kim is right. HERE is another recent posts with the same information. If you search OH you will see many loose skin posts. Loose skin and hair loss seem to be everyone's top 2 concerns, which is a bit silly (and I was also concerned pre-op). I am thankful to be healthy again.

Yes well, my biggest concern is saving my health and future health. But I know with the surgery and my 100% effort, I'll see results. It sounds like the loose skin thing is sort of out of my control and why I asked. Sort of hoping someone would step forward and say..."fear not, I have the sure fire secret to obliterating that loose skin. And that secret is...........".
.ahhh well. It was worth a try.
You won't lose the excess skin, you'll tighten it up and make it more toned. Any exercise will help with toning under the skin. Lots of water post op (hydrated skin shrinks back and dry skin doesn't), exercise and love when you hit a plateau. Slow weight loss will let your skin catch up. I don't know of any product that does anything for skin except hydrate it. Most of our work on skin elasticity comes from within. Genetics plays a part, if you keloid, how many stretch marks you have now and how many times you've stretched it out and shrunk it back. Lots of things contribute to saggy skin. some need surgery later some don't. you won't know till you're at goal.
