insurance approval for supplements

Hey, I am scheduled to have my RNY on September 16,2014 and I currently have Amerigroup insurance and wondering do anyone else have amerigroup and are any of the vitamins or other supplements covered under this insurance? 

It will depend on your particular plan, but in general I've never seen an insurance company cover supplements, with a few exceptions.  I don't think you can get the type of supplements you need via prescription which is what you'd need to convince your insurance to pay. I have found most to be inexpensive enough that I wouldn't have really paid any less if insurance had covered them.  Good luck on your surgery!
