I am 6 weeks post op today. Down 47lbs since day of surgery. I had been in a "stall" for about 2.5 weeks and getting down about it but the scale finally moved. I got the all-clear to start working out today. I already got my 10,000 steps in before I even got to the gym. I did Zumba at the Y. It felt so great to move and sweat. I by no means kept up the whole time, but. Really pushed myself for some songs and took it easy for others. Highly recommend Zumba for anyone who hasn't tried it. Just wanted to share while I am still in my post work out high Not all is hunky dory though, my labs came back with pretty low potassium. So now I have to drink some yucky stuff twice a day until that is figured out.

 How's everybody else doing today?

Go you! I am very impressed with you and your work out high (lol). I only got in 5000 steps today and was pretty darn active! Your post has given me a push to reach that 10,000 step goal tomorrow!

I do Zumba 3xs a week and you can get about 8000 steps from it.  I walk throughout the day then pick up the rest at the gym.

I am fortunate to have a job where I walk around all day. I also park as far away in the parking lot as I can.  Yesterday I had the 10,000 before Zumba because I raked leaves in the yard before I went to the gym. I got about 5,000 steps from Zumba after that. Good luck upping your steps!
