Yes, I agree. This is very good news. Being diabetic myself for about as long as you, my A-1c is very high. I know this surgery is something that I need to do and ASAP. Reading your post is an inspiration to me and I'm so glad you posted this news. Thank you so much! keep us posted good or not so good.

Congratulation on getting off some of the medicine. Question though, I thought 5.0 A1c was a normal A1c, isn't it?

From what I understand 5.0 is normal. I'm just not there yet. Close but not quite there.   Because I am usually higher I was on pills and two different insulins. Now that I'm getting closer to normal I'm down to just pills. It is very exciting! :)
