Has anyone had RNY and then Cohn's?

Are you actually diagnosed with Crohn's now, or is the change to your body functions making you think you have developed this?

I have celiac and was diagnosed 10 years before my RNY. There is a lady in our support group who was diagnosed with Crohn's before she had surgery (I believe RNY) and is doing very well.

I will say I do not have Crohns but I do suffer from IBS and other bowel problems. I used to have diarrhea constantly. They did so many tests for it . Now after surgery I don't have to go like I used to. I do get constipated but not all the time. If I take Miralax a few times a week I am good.

For me my bowel problems are so much better.I hated that I had to use the bathroom every time I went out somewhere. I was always afraid of long car rides. So the surgery helped.

If you have concerns I would talk to your doctor.
