Travel at 5 Weeks Post-op

Personally at five weeks postop I think you should be lying in bed being fanned by beautiful naked muses, not flying to cold desolate NYC.  Who flies on Christmas?

Yes, fly.. the bigger challenge will be the eating. I was on a regular diet by 5 weeks...but... I wasn't used to it yet, so it was a struggle. Have fun!

I'm 5 weeks post op today, and I could definitely travel.  This is the first day that I've felt pretty normal.  With the special reason for it, I'm sure you'll be able to handle it.  But it might not be a bad idea to schedule in a little rest time if you possibly can.

I was in Aruba at 5 weeks post op.  I found the sugar free Popsicles on day one and was good to go from there :)  I have since traveled 3 times to Boston (from Atlanta) and have done just fine.
