How many sleeps

So I know that my doctor said I would be in the hospital for three days. My surgery is next Wednesday. Does this mean I get to go home on Friday? or Saturday? He said 3 days not 3 nights What are everyone else's experience?

I was SUPPOSED to be in there for 3 days/2 nights, but my new pouch opening was swollen shut the day after surgery, so I was lucky enough to get 3 nights and 4 days in the hospital. I was there 5:30 am Monday morning, and I finally left 6:00 pm Thursday evening.

Three days, two nights is pretty standard if all goes to plan. The only way to know for sure - if you need to make arrangements - is to confirm with your surgeon. Remember, though, that anything they say could change so you need to be able to roll with the punches.

My surgery was around 4pm on Monday, and I left the hospital around Noon on Wednesday. So it was two sleeps for me.

I would have been out the 3rd day (2 sleeps) but I got a slight fever and there was a major snowstorm. Therefore, they sided with caution and kept me another night.

Awesome thanks everyone. That's what I was hoping for. However if I have to stay an extra day I will put on my big girl panties and deal with it lol.

I went into hospital @5am Friday and was HOME BY 11:30 am Sunday. Can't complain at all!

I just stayed one night. Why not call your surgeon's office Monday and ask for clarification?
