All my other incisions have stayed closed but my biggest one keeps scabbing up and when I lay flat it reopens. No infection but I'm not sure what to do. Do I need stitches?

It should close on it's own. Mine took over a month to finally fill in and stay closed.

Call your surgeon's office and see if they recommend putting steri-strips or a butterfly bandage on it, or if they would prefer that you leave it open.

Either way, it will heal up. Just be sure to keep it clean and dry.

I had 2 incisions that would not heal fast.  One finally closed after 6 weeks and the last one I was in my 3rd post op month.  My doc said that it had to heal from the  inside out.  I would bandage them 1-2 times per day to protect them and to stop the seepage.  When it decided to heal it went very quickly, with in a few days was closed.  I thought the same way "did I need stitches?  Anyway, unless they are painful and red with a lot of heat, I would just keep the areas clean bandaged.  These were my doctors orders.
