How do you take Magnesium?

I am 4 weeks post op RNY and would like to know how they take there Magnesium. I crushed mine today and put in cottage chesse- not good- any advice.

Swallow it? There are lots of us who were taking pills the day after surgery (and survived!) If you think they are a little big - cut them into halves or quarters ... No need to taste them at all!
