I don't think so?  I know absolutely no jewelry except for a wedding band that has to be taped if you can't take it off.

You can't have any metals on like rings, piercings nada. They risk arcing from their instruments, so you must remove all jewellery.

Nope, you just need to be sure you have clear polish on, or French at the most.

For your own safety, they need access to your nails while under anesthesia.

They told me I could have clear polish, but apparently clear gel polish (and I'm sure gel nails too) interferes with the clip they put on your finger to keep track of the oxygen in your blood.  They clipped it on my ear for a bit because they couldn't get good readings from my finger.

Honestly I'm surprised at the varied answers here! I had to have acrylic removed because of being under anesthesia.

Definitely removed. I was saddened by that myself lol but they need access to your own nail bed in order to see (blood flow and other junk). I was even asked before surgery if I had piercings jewellery or nails so I would remove them to be on the safe side.

I would call your doctors office. It can be a pain to get them off.

I had to  have my nails off. I was told it depends on who your anesthesiologist is. I took them off to be safe. Good luck!
